Stars Set for Exciting Weekend Action

Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Program, proud members of the Tier I Hockey Federation (T1HF) and the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAT1HL), return to the ice this upcoming weekend, Nov 8 - 10, for exciting  AAA hockey action as they continue to celebrate the Star's 40th season.

All of the Stars seven teams will be in road action.

The U18 AAA Midget Major Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Columbus, OH, for a weekend showdown with their Mid-Am District Rivals the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets. The two Midget Major 18U squads are scheduled to face-off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, at the Chiller North, in Lewis Center, OH, and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday at the Ohio Health IceHaus, adjacent to Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus, OH.

Likewise, the U16 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Columbus, OH, for a weekend showdown with the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets. The two Midget Minor 16U squads are scheduled to face-off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Chiller North in Lewis Center, OH.

The U15 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will also will travel to Columbus, OH, for a game with the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets U15 on Saturday, 2:30 p.m. at the Chiller North in Lewis Center, OH.

The U14 AAA Bantam Major Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Mentor, OH, to participate in the Mad Man Hockey Elite Series IV Showcase, Friday - Sunday. On Friday, Nov. 8, the U14 Stars will open with Nichols School Bantam Major squad at 10:30 a.m. Then on Friday evening, the Stars will square-off with the Nashville Jr Predators at 8:15 p.m. On Saturday, the Stars will face Indy Elite at 11:30 a.m. They return to the ice Saturday evening, 8:30 p.m. puck drop, to face the Buffalo Regals. The Bantam Major Stars will close the Showcase on Sunday with a rematch against the Nashville Jr Predators at 8:00 a.m. All games will be played at the Mentor Arena in Mentor, OH.

The U13 Red AAA Bantam Minor Pittsburgh Stars will travel north of the border to Kitchener, Ontario, for the Kitchener Blueline Tournament. The Stars Bantam Minor 13U squad will take to the ice twice on Friday in round-robin game action. First up will be the Halton Hurricanes at 12:30 p.m. Then later on Friday, 5:00 p.m., they will face the Markham Majors. Both games will be at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. On Saturday, the Stars return to the ice for two more round-robing games. First up will be Burlington Eagles at 3:15 p.m., at the Activa Sportsplex. They will then close round-robin play against the hometown Kitchener Jr Rangers at 8:00 p.m., back at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. Seeding for Sunday's playoff action will occur after round-robin play with game times, locations and opponents to be determined.

The U13 White AAA Bantam Minor Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Rockville, MD, and the Rockville Ice Arena for a pair of T1HF league games with Team Maryland. The two Bantam Minor 13U squads will face-off at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday and 10:50 a.m. on Sunday.

The U12 AAA Pee Wee Major Pittsburgh Stars will also travel to Rockville, MD, and the Rockville Ice Arena for a pair of T1HF league games with Team Maryland. The two Pee Wee Major 12U squads will face-off at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday and 9:20 a.m. on Sunday.

Celebrating their 40th season during the 2024-25 season, the Pittsburgh Stars program is the oldest Tier I program in the Mid-American District of USA Hockey and one of the oldest Tier I programs under the USA Hockey umbrella.
