Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Program, proud members of the Tier I Hockey Federation (T1HF) and the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAT1HL), will return to the ice this upcoming weekend, Jan 24 - 26, for exciting AAA hockey action as they continue to celebrate the Star's 40th season.
The U18 AAA Midget Major Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Cleveland, OH, for a weekend showdown with the Cleveland Barons U18 squad. The two Midget Major squads will face-off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:15 p.m. on Sunday. Both games are at the Barons Bus Arena in Cleveland.
Two Pittsburgh Stars teams (U16 AAA Midget Minor & U15 (only) Midget Minor, will be in Youngstown, OH, to participate in the Youngstown Phantoms USHL Exposure Showcase. All showcase games will be held at the Covelli Sports Centre in Youngstown, OH.
The U15 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will open the the Phantoms USHL Showcase on Friday, Jan 24, with an 11:00 a.m. face-off against Biggby AAA. On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Stars and Victory Honda's Midget Minor U15 squad will square-off at 3:00 p.m. The Stars U15 squad will close the showcase on Sunday, Jan 26, 12:00 p.m., against Fox Motors.
The U16 Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will open the the Phantoms USHL Showcase on Friday, Jan 24, with an 9:00 a.m. face-off against the Pittsburgh Vengeance. On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Stars and Fox Motor's Midget Minor U16 squad will square-off at 1:00 p.m.
The U13 AAA Red Bantam Minor Pittsburgh Stars squad will travel to Annville, PA, for a pair of Tier 1 Hockey Federation (T1HF) league games against the Palmyra Black Knights at the Klick Lewis Arena on Saturday, Jan 25. Game times are set for 12:45 and 5:00 p.m.
The U13 White Bantam Minor Pittsburgh Stars will welcome the Flyers Elite U13 squad to Pittsburgh and the friendly confines of Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a pair of weekend Tier 1 Hockey Federation (T1HF) league games. Game times are set for 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Likewise the U12 AAA Pee Wee Major Pittsburgh Stars squad will welcome the Flyers Elite U12 Pee Wee Major squad to Pittsburgh and the friendly confines of Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a pair of weekend Tier 1 Hockey Federation (T1HF) league games. Game times are set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The 3:30 p.m. Saturday game, will serve as the U12 Pee Wee Major AAA Stars Community Initiative Game, with North Hills Community Outreach being the charity honored. All proceeds from the game’s events will be donated to the charity.
Founded in 1987, the North Hills Community Outreach is a community outreach organization that addresses the needs of people in crisis, hardship and poverty. They provide a variety of services to individuals in the northern greater Pittsburgh area, including: food pantries, transportation assistance, tax preparation assistance, employment assistance, utilities and rental assistance, education assistance, ask the attorney, and older adult services and other services.
The U14 AAA Bantam Major Pittsburgh Stars squad had their weekend set with Palmyra cancelled as they are dealing with an influenza outbreak.
