Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Club of the North American Prospects Hockey League Tier I (NAT1HL) are pleased to announce that 18U forward Marshall Hewitt has signed a NAHL Junior A tender agreement with the New Hampshire Mountain Kings.
The 2024-25 season was Hewitt’s third season with the Star’s program and first with the Star’s U18 Midget Major squad.
The (5'8" / 165 lbs.) 17-year-old “senior-to-be” at Seneca Valley High School from Cranberry Township, PA, registered 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists), in 16 NAT1HL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances this season. Overall, Hewitt tallied 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists), including four power play goals and one shorthanded goal, in 68 games played for the Stars.
During the 2023-24 season, Hewitt registered 15 points (9 goals, 6 assists), in 17 NAT1HL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances and overall tallied 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists), including two powerplay goals and three shorthanded goals, in 66 games played for the Stars 16U squad.
During the 2022-23 season, Hewitt registered 18 points (12 goals, 6 assists), in 13 NAT1HL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances and overall tallied 48 points (27 goals, 21 assists), including three powerplay goals and four shorthanded goals, in 56 games played for the U15 Stars.
"Marshall brings world-class speed,” said Pittsburgh Stars 18U head coach Dave Kosick, “and that makes him a dangerous offensive weapon.”
The Mountain Kings, who skate in the NAHL's ten-team East Division, along with the Elmira Aviators (NY), Danbury Hat Tricks (CT), Johnstown Tomahawks (PA), Maine Nordiques, Maryland Black Bears, New Jersey Titans, Northeast Generals (MA), Philadelphia Rebels (PA), Rochester Jr. Americans (NY), play in the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, New Hampshire.
