Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Club of the North American Prospects Hockey League Tier I (NAT1HL) are pleased to announce that 18U skater Matvey Stremiakov has signed a NAHL Junior A tender agreement with the Elmira Aviators.
The 2024-25 season was Stremiakov’s first season with the Star’s program and first with the Star’s U18 Midget Major squad.
The (5’'9" / 155 lbs.) 18-year-old from Buffalo, NY, registered 2 points (0 goals, 2 assists), in 11 NAT1HL regular season appearances this past season. Overall, Stremiakov tallied 26 points (8 goals, 18 assists), including one power play goal, in 55 games played for the Stars.
"Matvey is an extremely gifted skater who can play both defense and forward,” said Pittsburgh Stars 18U head coach Dave Kosick. "With such a broad skill set, he offers the Aviators a player who can play both positions.”
The Aviators, who skate in the NAHL's ten-team East Division, along with the Danbury Hat Tricks (CT), Johnstown Tomahawks (PA), Maine Nordiques, Maryland Black Bears, New Hampshire Mountain Kings, New Jersey Titans, Northeast Generals (MA), Philadelphia Rebels (PA), Rochester Jr. Americans (NY), play in the LECOM Event Center in Elmira, NY.
