Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Program, proud members of the Tier I Hockey Federation (T1HF) and the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAT1HL), will return to the ice this upcoming weekend, Sept 5 - 7, for exciting AAA hockey action as they celebrate the Star's 41st season.

The U14 AAA Bantam Major Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Chicago, IL, for the Chicago Steel Icebreaker Showcase, presented by SuperSeries, this upcoming weekend. They will kick-off the Showcase on Friday, Sept 5, 2:00 p.m., against Omaha Mastery at Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills, IL. Then at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, the U14 Stars will face the Chicago Phantoms, at the Orbit Ice Arena, in Palantine, IL. On Saturday, Sept 6, 8:00 a.m., the Stars Bantam Major squad will square-off with the Windy City Storm back at the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills. Then at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, they will close round-robin play against Indiana Elite at the MacKenzie Ice Arena in Lake Forest, IL. Semi-final and Consolation action will take place on Sunday, Sept 7, time and opponent to be determined. The U14 Bantam Major Championship game will take place on Sunday, 2:00 p.m., at the Glacier Ice Arena.

The U13 AAA Bantam Minor Pittsburgh Stars will also travel to Chicago, IL, for the Chicago Steel Icebreaker Showcase, presented by SuperSeries, this upcoming weekend. They will kick-off the Showcase on Friday, Sept 5, 9:40 a.m., against the Jersey Hitmen at Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills, IL. Then at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, the U13 Stars will face the Wisconsin Jr Guardians, at the MacKenzie Ice Arena in Lake Forest, IL. On Saturday, Sept 6, 7:40 a.m., the Bantam Minor Stars will square-off with the Madison Capitols back at the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills. Then at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, they will face Great Lakes Hockey Club at the Rosemont Ice Arena in Rosemont, IL. Semi-final and Consolation action will take place on Sunday, Sept 7, time and opponent to be determined. The U13 Bantam Minor Championship game will take place on Sunday, 2:10 p.m., at the Glacier Ice Arena.

The remaining Stars teams (U15, U16 and U18) will enjoy an off weekend.
