Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Program, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAT1HL) and the Tier I Hockey Federation (T1HF), will return to the ice this upcoming weekend, Oct 4–5, for exciting AAA hockey showcase and league action as they celebrate the program's 41st season.
The U13 AAA Bantam Minor Pittsburgh Stars will travel north to Buffalo, NY, for a four-game non-league weekend. On Saturday, Oct 4, the Stars Bantam Minor squad will take to the ice twice. First up is a 12:45 game against the Buffalo Regals at the Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga, NY. Then at 7:30 p.m. the U13 Stars will return to the ice to face the Buffalo Jr Sabres at the Harbor Center in downtown Buffalo. On Sunday, Oct 5, the Stars and Sabres will hook-up again at 10:30 a.m. at the Riverside Arena (Bud Bakewell Arena) in Buffalo. Then the U13 squad will complete their four-game weekend at 3:30 p.m. against the Buffalo Regals back at the Holiday Twin Rinks.
Likewise, the U14 AAA Bantam Major Pittsburgh Stars will travel north to Buffalo, NY, for a three-game non-league weekend against the Buffalo Regals. On Saturday, Oct 4, the Stars Bantam Minor squad will face the Regals in a pair of games at the Holiday Twin Rinks. Opening faceoffs are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, Oct 5, the Stars and Regals will conclude their three-game set with a 1:45 p.m. game at the Holiday Twin Rinks.
The U16 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Columbus, OH, for a Saturday showdown with the U16 Ohio AAA Blue Jackets at the Ice Haus Rink in downtown Columbus at 2:10 p.m.
Likewise, the U18 AAA Midget Major Pittsburgh Stars will travel to Columbus for a Saturday game with the U18 Ohio AAA Blue Jackets at the Ice Haus Rink in downtown Columbus at 12:10 p.m.
The U15 Midget Minor Stars will enjoy an open weekend.
