Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Program, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAT1HL) and the Tier I Hockey Federation (T1HF), will return to the ice, post the Thanksgiving Holiday, this upcoming weekend, Dec 6 – 7, for exciting AAA hockey action as they continue to celebrate the program's 41st season. All five Stars teams will be in action in the greater Pittsburgh area.
The U13 Bantam Minor Stars will welcome the Ohio Rivermen to Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Ice Arena, in New Kensington, PA, for a pair of weekend games. On Saturday, Dec 6, the U13 Stars and Rivermen will hit the ice at 3:30 p.m. Then on Sunday the two Bantam Minor squads will close the weekend series with an 8:30 a.m. opening faceoff.
The U14 Bantam Major Stars will travel to the Ice Castle Arena in Castle Shannon, PA, for a pair of road games against the U14 Pittsburgh Predators. On Saturday, Dec 6, the Bantam Major Stars and Predators will hit the ice at 10:20 a.m. Then on Sunday the two U14 squads will close the weekend series with a 12:10 p.m. opening faceoff.
The U15 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will be participating in the PPE Showcase in Pittsburgh on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the Stars will take to the ice twice. First will be an 11:40 a.m. game against the U15 Ohio AAA Blue Jackets at the Roy McKnight Center on the campus of Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel, PA. Then at 7:40 p.m., the Stars Midget Minor U15 team will square-off with the Chicago Mission at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, PA. They will close the three-game, two-day Showcase on Sunday with a 12:20 p.m. game against the U15 Pittsburgh Penguins Elite back at the Roy McKnight Center on the campus of Shady Side Academy.
The U16 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars will welcome the U16 Palmyra Black Knights into the friendly confines of Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a pair of Tier I Hockey Federation (THF) league games this upcoming weekend. On Saturday the Stars and Knights U16 teams will open the two-game weekend series at 5:00 p.m. They close the two-game weekend league set on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
The U18 AAA Midget Major Pittsburgh Stars will welcome the U18 Palmyra Black Knights to Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a pair of Tier I Hockey Federation (THF) league games this weekend. On Saturday the Stars and Knights U18 teams will open the two-game weekend series at 7:00 p.m. The two midget major squads will then close the two-game weekend league set on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
