Pittsburgh, PA - The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Program, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAT1HL) and the Tier I Hockey Federation (T1HF), will be in action this upcoming weekend, Dec 12 – 14, for exciting AAA hockey action as they continue to celebrate the program's 41st season. All five Stars teams will be in action in the greater Pittsburgh area.
The Pittsburgh Stars Midget teams (U15, U16 and U18) will all be in the Greater Philadelphia area for the Tier 1 Hockey Federation (THF) – Philadelphia Showcase this upcoming weekend, Dec 12 - 14.
The U15 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars open the THF – Philadelphia Showcase on Friday, Dec 12 with a pair of games. First up will a 7:00 a.m. game against the Sylvania North Stars. Then at 1:30 p.m., the Stars Midget 15 (only) team returns to the ice to face the Tri-State Spartans at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, Dec 13, they return to the ice at 1:00 p.m. to face CP Dynamo. The Stars will close the THF Showcase on Sunday, Dec 14, with a 7:00 a.m. opening faceoff against the Chicago Phantoms. All 15U games will be played at the Revolution Ice Gardens in Warminster, PA.
The U16 AAA Midget Minor Pittsburgh Stars open the THF – Philadelphia Showcase on Friday, Dec 12 with an 11:00 a.m. game against Black Bear National Academy at the Bucks County Ice in Warminster, PA. Then on Saturday, Dec 13, the Stars U16 squad will hit the ice twice. First up will be 7:50 a.m. game against the Mercer Chiefs at the Revolution Ice Gardens in Warminster, PA. They return to the ice at 5:00 p.m. to face West Chester Wolves at the Northeast Skate Zone in Philadelphia, PA. The U16 Midget Minor Stars will close the THF Showcase on Sunday, Dec 14, with a 1:10 p.m. opening faceoff against the PAL Islanders back at Northeast Skate Zone in Philadelphia.
The U18 AAA Midget Major Pittsburgh Stars open the THF – Philadelphia Showcase on Friday, Dec 12 with an 11:20 a.m. game against the West Chester Wolves at the Northeast Skate Zone in Philadelphia, PA. Then on Saturday, Dec 13, the Stars U18 squad will hit the ice twice. First up will be an 11:00 a.m. game against Tomorrow’s Ice at the Bucks County Ice in Warminster, PA. They return to the ice at 6:40 p.m. to face CP Dynamo back at the Northeast Skate Zone in Philadelphia. The U18 Midget Major Stars will close the THF Showcase on Sunday, Dec 14, with a 7:00 a.m. opening faceoff against the Boston Jr. Bruins back at Bucks County Ice in Warminster.
Meanwhile, the U14 Bantam Major Stars will return to the friendly confines of Pittsburgh Ice Arena in New Kensington, PA, for a four-game home weekend. On Saturday, Dec 13, the Bantam Major Stars will welcome the Cleveland Barons U14 squad for a pair of games. Opening faceoffs are schedule for 1:00 and 6:30 p.m. Then on Sunday, Dec 14, the Stars will welcome the Cincinnati Cyclones U14 squad for a pair of games. Opening faceoffs are schedule for 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The U13 Bantam Minor Stars will enjoy a scheduled weekend off.
